The high-level objectives of RECET4RAIL are:
- Development of design approaches, end-to-end conception time evaluation and feasibility/performance study of 3D printing technologies for new traction system components use cases
- Investigation on the possible application of Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) for the definition of an opportunistic battery charging system
- Improving the understanding of the robustness and reliability of high voltage SiC modules with respect to railways traction applications and their particular requirements
- Development of smart maintenance approaches enabled by predictive analytics, trained on big data
